Nomu Matcha is one of New Zealand's fastest-growing premium matcha brands and we're looking for an epic South Island team to bring it to life in stores across the South Island.

This isn't a passive shelf-stacking gig. You'll be front and centre at our major retailers, serving tastings, telling the brand story, creating in-store social media content and turning curious shoppers into genuine fans. Shifts are flexible and ad hoc, so it needs to work for you, and it needs to work for us. But when you’re on, you’re on. Because you’ll be the face of Nomu in-store.

About the Role
We’re looking for a confident, warm and energetic Brand Ambassador to join our South Island team, with a focus on the Canterbury and Otago regions.

You’ll represent Nomu at in-store tastings, events and activations, creating genuine customer moments that feel polished, epic and very Nomu. You’ll help shoppers understand what makes Nomu Matcha different, why quality matters, and why they’ll want to take Nomu home.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain real-world experience in brand representation, customer engagement, field marketing and content creation while being part of a fast-growing brand with big plans.

The Role Will Involve
• Representing Nomu Matcha with enthusiasm, confidence and professionalism at in-store tastings, events and activations across the South Island
• Preparing and serving matcha tastings, while owning the full customer experience from first hello to final impression
• Communicating key brand messages and educating shoppers on our product range, preparation methods and what makes Nomu different
• Creating memorable, genuine interactions that build brand awareness, customer trust and proper matcha obsession
• Capturing social media content at tastings and events as briefed, including setup shots, product moments, customer interactions and behind-the-scenes content
• Gathering feedback and insights from tastings and reporting back to the Nomu team
• Managing your own availability, equipment, event setup and end-of-shift stocktakes

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
• Confident, warm and comfortable approaching people — you don’t wait for customers to come to you
• Passionate about matcha, wellness, premium products or great brand experiences. Matcha knowledge is ideal
• A natural communicator who can bring a brand story to life in a short conversation
• Reliable and professional, you show up prepared, polished and ready to do the job properly
• Able to work independently and manage the practical side of each shift
• Based in, or able to commute around, Christchurch with your own transport
• Able to travel to Otago and Tasman regions on an ad hoc basis, as required
• Background in hospitality, retail, events, sales or brand work is a plus, but not a requirement

How it Works
Shifts are offered on an ad hoc basis approximately 10-15 hours per month. Everything is agreed in advance between both parties.
